Welcome aboard the Double Hook Up

A native of Florida, growing up in the Tampa Bay area, I have had the opportunity of fishing all the waters from Tampa Bay to Key West, also the East coast of Florida. "Fishing is more or less my religion" I have been a charter fishing guide for the the past 11 years, including captain of a 56 ft sport fishing yacht, and a marine field engine tester for Caterpillar prototype engines. Also WTSP 10 News fishing host for the last 5 years covering techniques on how and where to catch a Variety of species from the Tampa Bay waters, to the deep blue waters of the Atlantic.
I've spent the last several winters on Florida's east coast fishing for sailfish,dolphin and wahoo, and the summer months in the Florida keys. I'm a competitive professional angler and have many tournament wins including Old Salts King of the Beach, Southern King fish Association and the Tarpon Roundup which I hold the all time record for the largest Tarpon caught in the last 66 yr. of the tournament at 200.2 lbs.
Growing up around the Tampa Bay area I have chased snook, red fish, trout, cobia, flounder, and Tarpon presently, I prefer near coastal and offshore fishing due to the large Variety of specie's.

If you are trying to learn more about fishing,I believe it can be possible to learn basic fishing techniques from books,but everything else is thinking, trying, and hard work. And  like I have always told my customers  "That fish just bit the wrong Gamakatsu hook".
